Lindsay Lohan

Sure, it's easy to be critical of dear Lindsay Lohan. She was facing DUI charges from an incident on Memorial Day weekend, had just checked out of rehab when she was arrested again for DUI and drug possession charges.

What a mess.

But before I criticize her, I've got just two words to say to myself:

"Glass houses!"

I'd hate to think what I'd have been like at 21 with all that fame and money.

What a mess.

I hear you. I hate what she's gotten herself into...The Child and I have just loved some of her early movies and I think she has a lot of talent. But she's letting her frakkedupness interfere. It just makes me sad.

I can't say I've followed her career too closely, but my question is: is she talented enough for the professionals she works with to put up with all this $#!t?

I don't mean to cast aspersions; I've never wrestled with the devils of addiction, but know enough to know that it's not as easy as "I think I'll stop now." But at some point, aren't you rewarding unhelpful behavior by continuing to hire those who are debilitated by frakkedupness?

I predict that "frakkedupness" will be the new "ginormous."

I am with you on this. My son has been asked to do many plays, and I up until recently have turned down most of them. He is really a fine actor, but he'll still be a fine actor in another 3 years!

There is absolutely some enabling going on, Red. It starts with the frakkedupness of her family and extends to those who hire her knowing what they know. (Although I've heard that this last thing is going to make that harder because she's not going to be insurable). And certainly, there's something wrong when two days after "rehab" she's using. "Rehab"? Sounds like handlers parked her at a spa to let things die down, more concerned about publicity than her well-being.

But she's an adult. She's responsible for her choices and she needs to get her crap together before she ends up dead or something.

But yeah, imho, I think she has talent. And I hate seeing people waste their gifts.

(And Mouse...you are so smart).
