A Room With a View

Yesterday when I got home from work, I noticed a bright orange light coming through the blinds. And lookie here.

Autumn weather has finally arrived. I'm so happy.

Doesn't this sunset just make you want to sit by the window and sigh pensively? Like you were a character in a Merchant Ivory film or something.

That's my favorite view, right there.

All my life I've wanted to be a character in a Merchant-Ivory film. My first thought was that it would be lovely to be Freddie Honeychurch, the character Rupert Graves played in A Room with a View, because he's a laff and uses words like "spiffy." But he watches the boy he has a crush on marry his sister, and that's no fun. So instead, I think I'd choose Scudder, the character Rupert Graves played in Maurice -- the film isn't nearly as delightful as View, but at least he gets the guy in the end.
