Say 'Eeeewww'
Okay, I have this "thing" that I do at Starbucks that will probably make you go Eeeewww.
You know the little wooden stirrers they supply by the milk and cream? I hate to use one of those just to give my coffee a little stir. It's so wasteful.
So, I always reach in the garbage and use a discarded one.
Really.
What's wrong with that?

Eeeewww. Goodness only knows what's in the trash rubbing shoulders with the stirrers. Perhaps you can find a silver-plated stirrer with carrying case that you can take with you.
I'm totally saying eewwww! I guess it is environmentally good of you...but still--ewwwww!!!! :)
I'm saying eeewwwwwwww because I know that, when I'm done stirring my coffee or latte or mocha with that wooden stirrer, and just before I toss it in the garbage, I lick it.
Sometimes I stick them in my ear. But not the used ones, because that would be gross.
